Abstract:
Polygons depict areas where vulnerable buildings (i.e., buildings on ground that is less than 10-feet in elevation) receive no benefits from NNBFs. These are areas where localities or landowners may consider creating new or restoring NNBFs to provide multiple benefits to communities.
Purpose:
This layer identifies target areas where the creation or restoration of NNBFs (natural and nature-based features) would provide multiple benefits to communities, including tidal flooding mitigation benefits for buildings at less than 10-feet in elevation along coastal Virginia.
