Raster data was generated to visualize land inundation depth from sea level rise at 10 year intervals (2010-2100) for coastal Virginia for four different scenarios. The four scenarios were based on projections from the NOAA Technical Report (Global and Regional Sea Level Rise Scenarios for the United States") published in January 2017. This dataset uses sea level rise projections for the "Intermediate" scenario for coastal Virginia. The relative sea level rise rate is adjusted for regional subsidence. The relative sea level rise rate is adjusted for regional subsidence which averages 3.1mm/year at Sewell's Point. After determining the raster cells that would be inundated at a given time step, the land elevation of those cells was subtracted from the water level to generate a new raster containing cells with depth values.

Source data for sea level rise analysis was lidar data from VGIN (Virginia Geographic Information Network). This data was acquired from various LIDAR acquisition projects in Virginia from 2010-2016. After acquisition, this lidar was processed into elevation rasters with a 1 meter cell size.
